Whether you want to make a nice wall hanging, jazz up some old jeans, or just try out a new hobby for the new year, embroidery is an excellent way to go! In this workshop you will learn several basic stitches as well as some fun tricks for adding texture and life to whatever you choose to stitch. Not only will you walk out with an embroidery piece of your own, but you will feel confident taking the skills of embroidery home and exploring the art in your own way.
In the first half of the workshop, we will learn and practice stitches including the back-stitch, chain stitch, and satin stitch. The second half of the class will be dedicated to starting a piece of your own.
We will provide the design of your choice with lots of color options, as well as the hoop, fabric, needle and everything else you will need!

Please choose which design you would like to create. If you have a specific idea or image that you want to make, feel free to bring your image (printed or drawn) with you. It should be smaller than five inches around, as that is the size of embroidery hoop we are using. We will provide all the tools to transfer your idea to your fabric and help you decide which stitches to use to complete it.
There will be room to personalize all of these designs with the stitches and tools we learn in the class, as well as many thread colors to add your own flair.
